Direct Radiography (DR)

While the price tag tends to be a bit higher for a DR solution compared to a CR system, the time saved in the x-ray process and the greater picture quality make up for the additional cost. Typically, DR panels can come in various shapes and sizes, but usually they are at least 14"x17" in size and allow for immediate transfer from the DR detector to the computer screen.

Purchasing a DR solution also does not mean you will need to replace your current x-ray room; many times a DR Flat Panel will retrofit to your current x-ray system. But if you do need to upgrade your entire x-ray room, you can still obtain a quality DR solution without breaking the bank.

Take a gander at the DR options listed below and let us know how we can assist you. And if you don't see what you're looking for below, we almost certainly can get it; just contact us.

Please note: We do NOT carry CCD or CMOS imaging solutions due to their lower image quality and outdated technology.

ViVIX-S 1717V.jpg
  • A Vieworks flat panel DR system with a large field coverage area of 17x17 inches that slides into most wall stand trays.

  • Designed for general radiographic application, using its unique image processing system and proprietary flat panel technology to generate excellent images with superb ease.

  • Available with a Cesium Iodide (CsI) or Gadolinium OxySulfide (GdOS) scintillator, the active 3072x3072 pixel area with a 3.5 lp/mm spatial resolution ensures superior image quality for precise diagnostic performance in a user-friendly software platform.

  • Can be used without any connections to the X-ray generator with our patented AED (Automatic Exposure Detection) circuit included on all Vieworks flat panel detector series. In this way the DR panel can retrofit with any x-ray machine, as it is triggered by the radiation and not by a generator interface connection.

  • User friendly imaging software (Model: VXvue) with DICOM 3.0 standard provides consistent image quality at a dramatically reduced dose and faster image information with optimized algorithms for each different study. Image can be simply acquired and transmitted to the DICOM server through Gigabit Ethernet in seconds.
