Direct Radiography (DR)

While the price tag tends to be a bit higher for a DR solution compared to a CR system, the time saved in the x-ray process and the greater picture quality make up for the additional cost. Typically, DR panels can come in various shapes and sizes, but usually they are at least 14"x17" in size and allow for immediate transfer from the DR detector to the computer screen.

Purchasing a DR solution also does not mean you will need to replace your current x-ray room; many times a DR Flat Panel will retrofit to your current x-ray system. But if you do need to upgrade your entire x-ray room, you can still obtain a quality DR solution without breaking the bank.

  • The Vieworks 14x17 wireless DR panel offers AED (Automatic Exposure Detection) & is an superb imaging solution for any practice, offering rapid workflow & user-friendly software.
  • The sleek design is identical to most cassettes, so the panel requires no adjustment to existing bucky trays.
  • Each detector has a built-in wireless Access Point (AP), which enables the transmission of x-rays directly to a Wi-Fi enabled PC or laptop. In the event the Wi-Fi is compromised, the detector can save up to 100 images on its built-in memory card. Once communication resumes with the computer, all saved images can be transmitted to the software.
