While the price tag tends to be a bit higher for a DR solution, the time saved in the x-ray process makes up for the additional cost. Typically, DR detectors can come in various shapes and sizes, usually they are at least 14"x17" in size and allow for immediate transfer from the DR detector to the computer screen.
Purchasing a DR solution also does not mean you will need to replace your current x-ray room; many times a DR Flat Panel will retrofit to your current x-ray system. But if you do need to upgrade your entire x-ray room, you can still obtain a quality DR solution without breaking the bank.
